A reflective device that is used to delineate lanes on a highway. Primarily used in areas where there is no snow plowing. Also may be called a “button.”
ROI | Return on investment
ROI is a performance measure used to evaluate the efficiency of an investment. To calculate ROI, the benefit (or return) of an investment is divided by the cost of the investment. The result is expressed as a percentage or a ratio.
RIR or TRIR | Recordable Incident Rate
A calculation that describes the number of employees per 100 full-time employees who have had an OSHA recordable injury or illness.
RICE | Rest, Ice, compression and elevation
A method for treatment of injuries that uses rest, ice, compression and elevation. It helps to reduce swelling, ease pain, and speed up healing.
RFM | Regional Finance Manager
A senior financial position at RoadSafe. This person handles the day-to-day financials of their division.
Recordable | OSHA Recordable
An injury to our employee that must be recorded on our OSHA logs. The recordable criteria can be varied but the most common incidents making a matter “recordable” are stitches, the provision of a prescription, and a doctor either giving the employee restricted duty or time off work.
RAM | Regional Account Manager
A sales position at RoadSafe. This person handles the sales and vendor relationships within a specific region.
PTO | Paid Time Off
Non Union and otherwise eligible employees receive paid time off based upon their work hours. PTO is offered in lieu of vacation, sick or personal time.
PSPD | Product Sales Past Due Report
A report that shows all past due invoices for product sales.
PPE | Personal Protective Equipment
